Captaris Selected for 2005 Growth Strategy Leadership
Award in Electronic Document Management System Markets
for Healthcare
Frost & Sullivan's recent analysis, U.S. Electronic
Document Management Systems Markets for Healthcare,
selected Captaris as the recipient of the 2005 Growth
Strategy Leadership Award. The Award is presented each
year to a company that has demonstrated exceptional
growth strategy within its industry. Captaris has a
global presence in business information delivery
markets and is among the largest providers of software
to the United States healthcare industry.
"The team of experienced senior personnel in the top
management has been the differentiating factor for
Captaris' successful presence in the business
information delivery space," says Frost & Sullivan
Research Analyst Natesh S. Kare.
After demonstrating its sound abilities and growth in
the U.S. electronic document management systems (EDMS)
markets, Captaris acquired Information Management
Research, (IMR) Inc. in the second half of 2004 as a
calculated move to penetrate the healthcare sector
more significantly.
Captaris already has a strong presence in enterprise
fax and e-document delivery systems for healthcare
markets and enjoyed a successful strategic business
association with IMR. During this period, Captaris was
a software partner with IMR where the Captaris
Workflow product was integrated with IMR's Alchemy
document and record management software.
"Captaris has converted its symbiotic relationship
into core competence by acquiring IMR and moving into
the higher level of the EDMS market's value chain, "
notes Natesh Kare. "The end user will benefit most out
of this union, which is also expected to strengthen
Captaris' RightFax Healthcare Solutions."
The company's acquisition of IMR has enhanced its
ability to expand in the U.S. EDMS markets for
healthcare. Considering the higher growth in the EDMS
markets in the next two to three years Captaris is
expected to enhance its stakeholders' value in the
long term through the proper utilization of resources
and successful implementation of its corporate
strategy. Therefore, Captaris is the recipient of the
2005 Frost & Sullivan Growth Strategy Leadership Award
in the EDMS markets for healthcare.
